If you did not think Bugatti could not do anything more insane than Chiron, think again. Because the French vendor just made his own ante with the brand new Divo. Named after legendary French runners and two-time Targa Florio winner Albert Divo, it was revealed at The Quail during the jnhMonterey Car Week as another proof of the automaker's reputation for being an exclusive coachbuilder of ultra-luxurious and high-end superiors .

"Divo has significantly higher performance when it comes to lateral acceleration, agility and swing. Divo is made for the corners," said Bugatti president Stephen Winkelmann at the event's opening on The Quail.

Based on 1

000-plus horsepower Chiron, Divo is more focused on handling agility and swingability. With a weight of 77 kg less than Chiron, the small diet is said to significantly improve handling characteristics and overall performance. But it does not stop there.

Divo's exterior was designed specifically to improve aerodynamics and increase the volume. So when Divo downloads an empty drive or road at high speeds, it produces around 198kg lower than a Chiron in a similar situation.

Due to weight reduction and improved dynamics, along with a significantly revised suspension system, Bugatti claims that Divo patched the Nardo handling trial eight seconds faster than Chiron.

"The modern interpretation of coachbuilding gave us engineers new freedom," said Stefan Ellrott, Bugatti's chief of technical development. "The step we've taken with Divo in terms of agility and high-grade swing dynamics is comparable to the overall development from Veyron to Chiron."

Otherwise, the Divo remains powered by the same quad turbocharged sixteen-cylinder engine that serves over 1500 horsepower. Although due to the fact that it has less weight to tail around, Divo is expected to be a little tougher than Chiron in a straight line.

"Divo is a further example of our design philosophy," says Performance. "In this case, engineers and designers have been able to create a vehicle that focuses on swing speeds and lateral dynamics," says Achim Anscheidt, Design Director for Bugatti.

Only 40 models will now manufacture, as everyone was already claimed to immediately follow it reveals in Monterey. About 5 million British pounds sold each car for around $ 6.5 million US dollars.
