In a new blog post on the Call of Duty page, the company has revealed all the new content when season 1 continues in Black Ops Cold War.
The first of the updates is mid-season for Black Ops Cold War, which includes a new Fireteam map, new MP modes and more throughout the game.
And then new content is scheduled to arrive from February 4 with the release of the Express MP map and the next Zombies map, Firebase Z.

Do you need a visual goal? We got you covered and saw some.
Wakizashi (available now)
A personal defense weapon and companion to the samurai katana, this traditionally forged blade uses two types of steel in its construction and is light, elastic to force and durable to wear.
Compared to the standard knife, Wakizashi offers a slightly better range in exchange for speed, which opens up new strategies for those who swear by bringing knives to a gun battle.
Like the Streetsweeper shotgun, Wakizashi can be unlocked via a challenge in the game, where it can then be leveled for camos and XP. A drawing from the same weapon family is also available today in the brand new “Disavowed Assassin” package.
Operator Zeyna will join the fight on 21 January
NATO gets another bad operator for its ranks, when Zeyna Ossou, last seen with Bulldozer and Russel Adler in The Pines mall to take down Stitch, will be available for distribution next week.
This Senegal-born DGSE specialist in mobility and heavy weapons has been a motoring head for as long as she can remember. She grows up around the garages of her rally driver’s father and jokes that she has petrol for years. Although she’s a risk taker and a bit of a wild card during infiltrations, Zeyna’s colleagues know she’s the one you want at the forefront.
Get Zeyna for Black Ops Cold War and War zone as part of a store package during season one.
Two multiplayer maps
Sanatorium (Live Now)
Ten troops of four will go up to the Ural Plains to fight for targets and vehicles on land, sea and air.
Here in the Urals is a Soviet experimental health retreat – the focus of a secret investigation of NATO forces in September 1984. Low-forested hills provide cover for troops to reconnoiter over the main, roughly circular main hotel: a concrete, brutalist architectural behemoth flanked by structures by the lake and a large wooden pier.
With links to secret testing in State Sanatorium U-23, notes found on the basis of this sprawling complex indicate a conditioning test known as Project Golova.
Express (6v6) (February 4)
Back from Call of Duty: Black Ops II, Express arrives February 4 in Black Ops Cold War as a 6v6 multiplayer favorite, known as the high-tech train station that hosted many a quick drop in competition Duty calls history.
Express is an approximately U-shaped map with two train tracks that go around the transport hall’s main hall. Players can expect a lot of close combat in the hall, but should be aware that the glass fence makes it vulnerable to the enemy’s Scorestreaks.
Long-distance combat can take place over train tracks, especially when looking from the sky bridges on either side of the map. These areas are also good places to watch one of the high-speed trains frolic at the station on one of the tracks, where it will not hesitate to take out any operators who do not mind the gap.
Black Ops Cold War Multiplayer receives even more new game modes through season one, as well as the continuation of the fast-paced 3v3 experience, Face Off.
Dropkick (Live Now)
This hectic game with nuclear hot potato contains two layers that each fight for control of an extremely important suitcase. The round begins with each team running to the location of the nuclear suitcase and trying to retrieve it. Everyone who grabs the suitcase is automatically equipped with a powerful pistol, but it is ideally up to the rest of the team to keep the suitcase carrier safe. The team with the case gets access to launch codes, as well as an ever-increasing score for their team.
If you die while your team is handling the suitcase, you will not respond until your carrier has been eliminated and the suitcase has been dropped. If your team does not carry the case, it must be flushed out and retrieved before it is too late. When one team reaches the point limit by controlling and owning the suitcase, orders to carry out a nuclear attack are confirmed, and the round is won … in a very explosive way! The first team to 200 points wins.
Snipers Only Moshpit (Season)
Get ready, snipers. Later in season one, Treyarch brings the new Snipers Only Moshpit mode Black Ops Cold War, where two teams of six will throw down in Team Deathmatch and Dominance with all weapons limited except sniper rifles. Deadly and tactical equipment, as well as Scorestreak weapons (like War Machine), will also be limited to a pure sniper experience.
Endurance mode (in season)
After the season’s tactical Duos variation, Black Ops Cold War’s greatest game mode is about to take the 10-team experience to a whole new level.
In the upcoming Endurance variant, ten troops of four will enter the Alpine, Ruka and Sanatorium to collect uranium and arm bombs throughout the battle. But after a bomb has detonated, a new one will now come online to take place, ensuring that there will always be five bombs available instead of a first set of five being reduced to a single bomb. This introduces a new team of strategy and non-stop action to these already intense 40-player battlefields.
The points limit will also be doubled from 500 to 1000 in endurance mode, making this perfect for completing MP challenges. Jump in with your squad and experience the game’s most elaborate map in a whole new way.
3v3 Face Off continues
This fast-paced small-layer mode is here to stay in season 1, and it’s ready for your trio to claim dominance in respawn modes over four frenetic maps in Black Ops Cold War.
If you have not experienced Face Off yet, this playlist has the modes 3v3 Team Deathmatch, Kill Confirmed and Domination on the latest Gunfight maps: Game Show, ICBM, U-Bahn and KGB.
Great for picking up weapon camouflage challenges or a quick warm up before diving into bigger mode, and Face Off will be shown throughout the continuation of season 1 throughout this week.
When season one shifts to February, the Dark Aether story continues with a whole new one Black Ops Cold War Zombies map, faster than you might have expected.
But before that happens, you can expect to fight for your life in Cranked, survive Onslaught on Raid (excluding PlayStation *) and be welcome to new Zombies community members during Zombies Free Access Week.
New Mode: Cranked (Live Now)
Today, “Die Maschine” gets its latest time-limited mode – both literally and figuratively.

There is no time to lose, as your survival depends on hectic, terror-filled takedowns where the only deadline is the start of Cranked Timer, and provides a short breather before the bloodbath continues.
