Many developers in recent years have started taking advantage of the holiday season to add a bit of festivity to games, whether by means of new cosmetics, or adding Christmas decorations and winter themes to a particular map. With the success of Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 and the mainstream attention to new battle royale mode, Blackout, has received since launch, Treyarch might be giving players a reason to jump back in for a new update in the near future.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 's Blackout mode. As far as fans should expect, it appears the holiday event will be focusing on the zombies portion of Blackout. Dealing with zombies in Blackout is the same as how zombies have traditionally worked in the past. Zombies in Blackout are located in specific areas around the massive battleground, and their presence is not done in the traditional sense of having chores or chasing players around the map.
It's cold out in the world of Blackout… where did all the zombies go? Are they dead again? Are they planning something for the holidays…?

It doesn't appear on any event of the original plans in Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 ' season pass roadmap, which isn't as consumer-friendly as in past years. The price of the season pass has remained the same of previous Call of Duty games ($ 50), but this time around, it gives players less content spread into small updates throughout the year.
What is more than the traditional four major expansion packs, and the DLC in the latest Call of Duty no longer be purchased separately. The Blackout portion of the season pass content offers little compared to the other two modes – that is, standard multiplayer and zombies – with just four new unlockable characters coming throughout the year.
As previously implied, should the tease be holiday-related, then it appears to only affect the way zombies are used in the battle royal fashion , and not the traditional zombies mode. So, the holiday event could be a way for Treyarch to balance the amount of new content coming to multiplayer, blackout, and zombies, as there are currently 12 new multiplayer maps and a handful of new zombie experiences coming to standard multiplayer and zombie fashion , respectively.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 is now available for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
