Following the release of Operation Absolute Zero on Xbox One and PC, Treyarch has released another update for Call of Duty: Black Ops 4. This focuses primarily on maintaining durability and repair in Blackout mode, but it also does a handful of changes specific to the PC version of the game.
As Treyarch detailed on Reddit, armor has been given a versatile nerf in Blackout mode. The durability of level 2 and 3 armor has been reduced to fit level 1 armor, while the number of armor plates that can be worn at one time has fallen from 10 to five.
Furthermore, Treyarch has increased the amount of time it takes to use a one-second armor plate. The developer also has "slightly increased" Paladin weapon damage against armor.
"While we are happy to see armor lasting more than one war field with this redesigned, we agreed that Level 2 and Level 3 Armor were a little lasting," Treyarch wrote. "With the durability called back on them, players should be able to destroy their enemies" armor more often. "
Along with armor customization, Treyarch has added Weapon Camo support to Blackout. Now players can use some Camos they have earned in multiplayer, Zombies, or Black Market for their weapons in the fight royal mode. The developer has also addressed a handful of issues across all platforms, including some stability enhancements to the latest Zombies chapter, Dead of the Night.
When it comes to PC-specific changes, Treyarch has resolved an error that prevented players from changing their reticle color, as well as a "where a console request will be displayed in the tutorial screen when opening the Create-A-Class menu for the first time .
