Xbox users are struggling to play Blackout in Black Ops 4 due to an ugly error that appeared shortly after the new update.
The error primarily affects Xbox One X users and causes Blackout matches to crash at later stages. 19659003] An X user reports that they are unable to complete Blackout matches, due to a crash that happens consistently when the match has 15 or fewer players left.
Complaints began to appear around Wednesday 19 December. Absolutely zero, the first major DLC update of the Black Ops 4, launched on Xbox 18 December.
Blackout has a varying technical performance that adjusts depending on where you are in the map and how many players are left in the game, but whatever changes occur later in the match, it is apparently not good with Xbox One X.
Treyarch has not yet recognized or answered the problem.
