People who decide to upgrade to Mass Effect Legendary Edition on PCs may not need to say goodbye to their favorite modes. It turns out that BioWare is apparently already considering how to deal with it. Project director Mac Walters said on Twitter that the team has “been in touch with a few in the modding community” when it comes to mod support. When the game launches in May, people should have a better idea of what to expect.
This came up when someone noticed Walters in a conversation that discussed Mass Effect Legendary Edition against support. Walters appeared to explain how BioWare handles both outreach and upcoming support.
We have been in contact with a few in the modding community to learn how we can best a) update everyone on changes that will affect existing mods, and b) set up the modding community to succeed in the future. It is in progress, and we will discuss in more detail at launch.
