Beyond iPhone, what to expect from Apple's September 12 & # 39; Gathering & # 39; special event

Now the invitation is out, you can brace yourself for speculation, would be predictions, much sought after and some Apple delicious. AppleInsider examines Apple's hardware selection and describes what we can see – and exactly why.

The days between Apple's invitation and the event happen is a time when every analyst, every pundit and really everyone will call the odds of what will be announced. We did not think Apple would slip itself up. How to judge what is actually based and what is based on fancy.

If you think that we last talked about this August 20th when we anticipated the September 1

2 event, you would have it right. There have been some changes since then.

New iPhones

What says yes : Six years of iPhone releases at this time, plus leaks from the chain of companies that make and deliver parts say yes. Apple's latest financial earnings call also talked specifically about an expected increase in sales at this time. And obvious leaks from Apple itself.

Based on repeated information from these sources, we seem to see three new iPhones, two of which want to sport OLED monitors. This is the technology Apple brought with iPhone X last year, so it's reasonable to assume that the sequel to that phone will be one of the two. As the second OLED model is given, the other OLED model will probably be a Plus version of iPhone X.

It is assumed to be 6.5 inches as opposed to iPhone X and its sequel is 5.8 inches . The third phone is expected to have a 6.1 inch screen. If it's missing the OLED screen, it will probably be a replacement for this year's cheaper iPhone 8. But that phone had a significantly smaller screen size of 4.7 inches.

An obvious market leak from Apple even on the day the published invitation seems to confirm much of this. The leak shows two OLED phones and reveals the name of the iPhone XS for both. It also shows a new gold color that was rumored in a report by analyst Ming-Cho Kuo.

Kuo also suggested that 6.1 inches iPhone will deliver in a wide range of colors.

It is possible that all three phones will contain the depth sensor system that ran the iPhone Xs TrueDepth camera setup last year. This is based on an earnings report from TrueDepth Subcontractor Lumentum, which showed an increase in earnings in June and an expected acceleration of orders.

Backing up is an announcement from similar supplier Finisar to buy a new factory of 700,000 square meters. Plus, the purchase was made using a $ 390 million grant from Apple.

What says no : Nothing but they have not been announced yet. There is a curious lack of something approaching evidence for iPhone SE but if it is not updated, it is likely to remain in the product line at a lower price.

However, for the first time, all Apple's most powerful phones are big.

New Apple Watch

What says yes : Documentation filed with the Euroasian Economic Commission. It's quite convincing: it's not a leak, not speculation, it's actually documentation. It's just too bad it's so unclear. The only detail is that there will be more models of Apple Watch.

Nevertheless, it confirms what same apparent Apple leaked if new iPhones have also shown. It has a new design for Apple Watch and allegedly its name: "Series 4."

19659008] You can buy Apple Watch now in several models: there are two sizes of it plus versions with LTE. The reason to believe that this filing represents something further, even before Apple leakage, was that it's a new filing. If there were no changes in the clock, there would be no need for file documentation. Aside from patents, Apple never films anything that will give away information, unless it must.

What says no : It may be presumptuous to assume that models we know come to be exposed to this event.

New iPads

What says yes : Supply chain rumors, and the age of existing iPad Pro models. Speculation from the supply chain suggests a reduction in size for both models of iPad Pro.

Specifically, the report is that the 10.5 inch iPad Pro will be reduced from 250.6 x 174.1 x 6.1 millimeter to 247.5 x 178.7 x 6. Similarly, 12.9 inch is said to switch from 305.7 x 220.6 x 6.9 millimeters to 280 x 215 x 6.4.

It's unlikely, but not impossible, that Apple will reduce the size of the screens in these iPads. So it's more likely that what's happening is a reduction in the bezel area around the screen like in this mockup.
