Something new is coming soon: Cheapskate Hall of Fame. It’s a pantheon of some of my favorite cheap products and services. See this room for more information!
Are there any potential induced in today’s summary? I can not say that, but there are some really good deals here. Check them out:
I love the idea of turning an empty wall into a big screen TV. Projector prices (and capabilities, such as brightness and resolution) are everywhere, but here is one that has a good balance between price and performance.
Vankyo V600 ($ 199 at Amazon, but $ 144.50 with promotional code VDAY2021) produces an original 1080p image, that is very different from projectors that say “1080p supported.” It also has two HDMI inputs (one for a streamer and one for a game console, for example) and built-in stereo speakers.
I have not tried this model, but it has a very impressive 4.5 star average rating from over 2600 Amazon buyers.
Mophie is known for making outrageously expensive mobile accessories, but sometimes their discontinued products end up selling cheap – very cheap.
Right now, for example, you can pick one up couple of PowerStation USB-C PD power banks with integrated USB-C cable for only $ 10. Each has a capacity of 4000 mAh and a two-year Mophie warranty. They originally sold for $ 60 apiece.
Also available: a two-pack of 6040 mAh power banks with integrated zipper cable (pictured above) for $ 20 and a 10,000 mAh power bank with Type A USB and Qi charging for $ 14.
Get free shipping on any of these with the exclusive promotional code CHEAP TAXES.
CBS All Access
Star Trek Discovery is terrible. There I said it. But that should not stop you from considering a CBS All Access subscription. The service is home to truly original content and a huge catalog of older TV series. In addition, it will be Paramount Plus next month, giving even more streaming goodness (read: movies) to the table.
Regular price for one year subscription: $ 60. Price right now with promotional code PARAMOUNTPLUS: $ 30. It’s for the limited commercial plan; You can also use the code on the Commercial Free plan and get it for $ 50.
Either way, be sure to click in the box marked “Save over 15% of the monthly price with an annual plan”, otherwise you will not see any of the options. Then use the promotional code at checkout.

Is it Black Friday again already? No, but Series 3 (in your choice of black or white) is back at Black Friday prices. The 42mm model is also back at $ 199.
One possibility: Series 3 is on its way to the chopping block, with the newer, more capable Apple Watch SE finally taking place at this price. But the former is still a skilled smartwatch, and definitely worth considering if you are an iPhone owner. Read CNET’s Apple Watch Series 3 review to learn more.
BodyBoss consists of a collapsible base that you stand on and resistance bands that you hook on it in different configurations. Then you can use a bar or handle, and you can perform a variety of exercises: curls, squats, tricep extensions, standing rows and so on. There is also a door anchor that uses the regime for things like pull-downs and flies.
This set contains a total of four bands; the resistance is equal to 1-30 pounds per pair, depending on how you hook them to the base and the exercise you do.
CNET has not rated this, but user reviews around interwebs are generally very positive.
