Yesterday we rounded out the best apps to buy if you've happened to unpack an iTunes gift card this holiday season. iPhone

If you were the lucky recipient of a new iPhone this holiday season, there is a wealth of accessories available for your new device, including cases, chargers and much more.

If you received an iPhone 8 or later, one of the best accessories you can get is a wireless charger. One of our favorite choices here at the 9to5Mac is Mophies charger, currently available on Amazon for $ 40. If you're looking for an upright charger that benefits from features like Face ID, one of our top picks comes from Anchor.

There is a wide variety of cases available for all iPhone models, even if you didn't receive the latest and greatest iPhone. For iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max, I'm a fan of Apple's first-party silicone and leather bags. They are affordable alternatives that come in a variety of colors. If you're looking for a thinner option, Totallee makes excellent ultra slim cases.

For the iPhone XR, Apple's clear case is a fine but expensive $ 39 option. If you're looking for a less expensive case, Spigen sells one for $ 13 while TOZO sells a soft $ 10 model. Read our full raundup of alternatives to Apple's iPhone XR Clear Case here.

Another popular iPhone accessory category is car chargers and parties. I use the personal iOttie Easy Touch mount, which supports all models of iPhone in terms of size and wireless cost on the iPhone 8 and above.

Several of the 9to5Mac iPhone accessories best of lists:

iPad [19659004]

The 9.7-inch iPad was undoubtedly one of the most popular gifts this holiday season. At $ 329, it's the most affordable way to get into the iPad ecosystem.

For the 9.7-inch iPad, the most obvious accessory is Apple pencil. While it does not support second-generation Apple pencil, the first-time model is still a good choice if you plan to do things like note, drawing and more with the iPad. While Apple doesn't sell a 9.7-inch iPad keyboard, there are various third-party options. One of our favorite options is the Brydge keyboard, which has Bluetooth connectivity and an aluminum construction that is solid enough for lap typing.

If you received a new 11-inch or 12.9-inch iPad Pro holiday season, you now have access to the USB-C and the range of accessories it provides. One of the best features this makes possible is support for external USB-C monitors, including the LG UltraFine at $ 499.99. Something worth considering is that the USB-C cable included with the iPad Pro does not support "high bandwidth" connection. You can get a third-party solution from Belkin for $ 14 and it will get the job done.

You can also charge other devices via the USB-C port on the iPad Pro. For example, you can download a USB-C to Lightning Cable to charge iPhone via iPad Pro.

Apple Watch

When it comes to accessing Apple Watch, you can get extra power for things like AirPods. It's important to remember that Apple Watch Series 3 and Series 4 tapes are cross-compatible. The 38 mm and 40 mm bands can be replaced as they are 42 mm and 44 mm.

For Apple Watch, you can easily and reasonably expand your band collection to make sure you're ready for any occasion. Apple's first-party band starts at $ 49 for sports, Nike and sports loop materials. For $ 149 you can retrieve the modern buckle or leather loop, depending on your Apple Watch size. Also at $ 149 you can choose from Apple's gold, room black and Milanese loops.

However, if you are looking for more affordable options, there are a number of third-party bands available. For example, Native Union sells a great leather strap that starts at $ 49.99. Other third-party bands start as low as under $ 10 on Amazon. To store and travel with your various Apple Watch tapes, LoO has a carrying case that can hold up to 12 different Apple Watch tapes while on the move.

While Apple Watch includes a charging puck, making the charging process a bit more seamless can be done using a dock. Aluminum Nomad Stand is one of the finest options that fits perfectly with your other Apple devices. Another of our favorites here at the 9to5Mac is the classic Mac inspired Elago W3 stand.

Ugreen makes a portable charger with an integrated battery for a Apple Watch portable charging solution. The same charging package can also add some extra fuel to the iPhone. Twelve South's TimePorter also lets you charge Apple Watch while on the move.

Several of the 9to5Mac Apple Watch accessories picks:

MacBook Air

2018 The MacBook Air was probably a popular gift this year, as it was a long delayed update to a incredibly popular Mac. The new MacBook Air features Thunderbolt 3 and USB-C connectivity that, like the new iPad Pro, open it for a variety of new accessories.

First and foremost, if you come from an older MacBook Air, you may need some adapters and dongles to ease your transition. For basic USB-C connectivity, Amazon sells AmazonBasics USB-C to USB-A adapter for $ 7.99. For microUSB, you can download the cable material adapter for $ 7.

One of the best things about the MacBook Air is its ability to charge via a USB-C network. One such option for this is Anker PowerCore +, which offers 26,800mAh power and outputs 30W. You can pick it up for $ 129.99 on Amazon.

You will definitely protect your expensive new MacBook Air. MOSISO sells a sleek water-repellent sleeve for $ 12.99 that will surely protect your laptop from the items and is available in a handful of colors.

AirPods

AirPods is straight out of the box and there is little you can do to improve your experience. If you're struggling to keep AirPods in your ears, you can add hooks to each AirPod to help them stay in. One option is the EarBuddyz Earhooks, available on Amazon for $ 12.

While Apple Having its own wireless charging AirPods case on the road, it is not yet available and it is unclear when it can be changed. However, there are some third-party options to add Qi functionality to your AirPods. We recently reviewed the SliQ AirPods case, which adds wireless charging to AirPods for $ 24. If you're just looking to protect your AirPods, the Catalyst case is both waterproof and cab-determined. It's a pretty basic case and is made of silicone. Pick it up at Amazon for $ 25.

More AirPods accessories:

Apple Pencil

Like AirPods, Apple Pencil is a great product out of the box, but some are small accessories that can enhance your experience. Although the accessory market is somewhat limited for the second generation Apple pencil, there are various options for the first generation model.

Our top choice is the Apple Potcil Stand and Charging Station, which lets you charge your Apple pencil much easier. You can also add something like the FRTMA Magnetic Sleeve to make your Apple pencil easier to grasp and secure it to a magnetic Smart Cover.

Belkin Base is a lovely alternative to securing Apple pencil on the desktop. With its anodized aluminum structure and chrome finish, it's an elegant way to keep your Apple pencil easily accessible.
