Everywhere you go, more and more people are adopting wireless headphones. AirPods is easily the most wanted, even for Android users, and the eyes have been on Apple lately as people are expecting an announcement about the next release of their wireless earphones. Meanwhile, it looks as if a company is just beating Apple to one of its potentially upcoming features for the next AirPods release: Wireless charging capability for its most essential accessory, charging case.
Bang & Olufsen's Beoplay E8 Wireless earphones offer high quality audio quality that is different to AirPods, and it should be considered that the regular price tag is almost twice the cost of AirPod's $ 299. While you can get a pair as low as $ 21
Although B&O has not yet provided much information on the differences between the earbuds, the noticeable difference between the new and old E8 earphones is the new charger for wireless charging, which means you never have to connect it manually again. It is also now equipped with a USB-C charging port, if you haven't got a wireless charger yet. The new charging case provides an additional four hours of battery life compared to the older model, in a total of 16 hours of listening time.
The price is slightly higher than its predecessor. Beoplay E8 2.0 earphones will sell at $ 349.99 via Bang & Olufsen's website and select retailers starting February 14. The current owners of the Beoplay E8 earphones will be able to purchase the new charging box separately for $ 200. B & O also presented a stylish 10 W wireless charger that fits nicely with the new charging case, even though the price is not yet to be announced with a provisional release date for both optional equipment set in April.
