Handheld consoles are not synonymous with power, but AYA Neo wants to change that. It has been in development for quite some time and has an AMD Ryzen CPU based on the Renoir architecture. It has AMD Ryzen 5 4500U CPU with Radeon 6 Vega graphics.
Crysis Remasted And Cyberpunk 2077 can run well on AYA Neo
AYA Neo is a powerful handheld console with AMD Ryzen 5 4500U CPU. The processor has 6 cores, 6 threads (this processor has no SMT), and is based on the Zen 2 architecture. The graphics are integrated with Radeon 6 Vega graphics with only 6 computing units (384 streaming processors). AYA Neo also has 16 GB of LPDDR4X memory and up to a 1 TB NVMe SSD inside. The screen is a 1280 × 800 IPS screen, and all this is powered by a 47wH battery that provides up to 6 hours of use, but heavy games fast slashes as with 67% down to around 2 hours.
While some of the graphical components may seem a little overwhelming, they actually do the job quite well. Even with a low core number, it is enough to run different emulators and even games with SoC power locked to 5W. On most games with low to medium settings with a resolution of 1280 × 800, you have a solid gaming experience with respectable frames. On all games tested in the reviews below, Neo managed to achieve 30+ FPS in all titles.

As of now, the console is being sent to its first customers and reviewers as the AYA Neo Founder. This model of console has a transparent chassis and is sent to crowdfunding supporters. By many accounts, this is considered a pre-production model that comes out in limited quantities to its early supporters and reviewers. It would not be unexpected if AYA Neo was revised for the general release and has a different look compared to the founding edition.
Full reviews of AYA Neo Founder Edition have many references on several titles
When it comes to reviewers who have posted their reviews and first impressions, Taki Udon and ETA Prime are two of those who have posted their reviews on YouTube. Reviews take a different approach to analyzing the console, but it’s best to look at both to get a full perspective. Both look at the specifications of the console, but then take a different approach.
ETA Prime looks at the unboxing experience and then looks at the performance in Forza Horizon 4, GTA 5, Skyrim, Street Fighter 5, Doom Eternal, CS: GO, Fortnite and even Crysis Remastered. Taki Udon looks at the quality of the product by going over battery performance, cooling, screen, build quality, and does some performance benchmarking in the end.
I recommend watching both reviews to get a complete picture of the product as ETA Prime covers the performance of the game and the unboxing experience of the AYA Neo while Taki Udon looks at the more tangible aspects of the product’s quality and overall design.
As far as the release date for the general public, it is March 10, 2021, so it comes in less than a month. The direct competitors are One Gx1 Pro and GDP Win3 based on Intel Tiger Lake CPUs with Xe Graphics. 2021 can only be the year for games on integrated graphics if these consoles lower the price points.
