Ethrian Odyssey X arrives at Nintendo 3DS in Japan on August 2, and Atlus is not ready to stop there. The company is already looking towards the future of the series outside 3DS.
There is a series of dungeon scripts-RPGs released by Atlus. There have been quite a few games released since the start in 2007. The first three games appeared on the Nintendo DS before the fourth game made the way to 3DS. Since then, all games in the series, including remakes and Mystery Dungeon spinoffs, have been on 3DS.
Director Shigeo Komori left a message for fans in the series Official Twitter Account . (Translation via Gematsu.)
Etrian Odyssey X will eventually be the 10th entry of the series Etrian Odyssey . The reason we have been able to continue the series is thanks to all the fans who have played and supported their titles so far. Thanks so much.
As we said at the beginning, Etrian Odyssey X is a culmination of the series Etrian Odyssey as far as the last Etrian Odyssey game for 3DS . But of course, it means the last "for 3DS." The final title for 3DS is nothing but an announcement for the beginning of the next stage.
We are moving rapidly to a whole new world for Etrian Odyssey series that everyone has supported so far. We are working hard to realize this passion as quickly and properly as possible, so please continue to give us your support.
You can see the new teaser for the future series (known as Sekaiju no Meikyuu in Japan) below.
