Beta still has server issues and is unavailable
Guilty Gear Strive is currently running an open beta that fans have been excited to jump into. On Tuesday this week, a selection of players got the chance to access the beta early, and the test started with positive impressions praising the gameplay and gameplay. new feedback network code.
Unfortunately, things have since disappeared since the last couple of days have seen unexpected server falls and time periods where players failed to get into beta despite the fact that it was a time where it was supposed to be live. Arc System Works has shared updates and statements about the case, and in a recent tweet, the company stated that they are currently looking at compensation options for players who have experienced these beta server issues.
“We understand that players have not been able to play the open beta due to server downtime,”
Trouble began on Thursday when players who were given early access to the beta to pre-order the upcoming match title began to be shut out of the test unexpectedly. The servers were suddenly shut down, prompting Arc System Works to publish a public statement at 6:45 p.m. on February 18, letting fans know there was a connection issue and the beta was unavailable.
The statement further said that the company investigated the problem and would update the masses when the beta was on again. At 19:15 the same day, ArcSys returned to notify the community that the beta was again available for playback and that the server problems had been resolved.
Unfortunately, reports on Twitter began to appear this morning from players who were again thrown out of the beta and did not have access to it. Although Guilty Gear Strive’s latest beta test has a training mode and local counter, none of the modes are available when the servers are down, as the whole thing is related to online.
The quote quoted above was released this morning at 3:46 AM, and since then Arc System Works has issued a new statement acknowledging that servers are also having issues today.
“When it comes to the GGST-free trial (β-test), the connection is unstable,” said the Guilty Gear account (via Google Translate). “We are investigating the cause, but depending on the situation, we can switch to emergency maintenance.
“We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your understanding and cooperation.”
The Guilty Gear Strives beta is scheduled to run throughout the weekend, ending Sunday, February 21 at 6:59 PM PDT. Arc System Works has not yet said how they plan to make up for downtime for those who were happy to try the game before launch, but given the level of communication they have shown this week, it will probably not be long before we find out.
At the time of writing, the beta of Guilty Gear Strive is still offline. We will provide updates on the status when it arrives.
