Apple chose LG Display as its second source of organic light emitting diodes (OLED) used in.
Apple told the South Korean company thumbs up after the OLED panels had passed the iPhone manufacturer's quality tests, according to Reuters, as quoted in an article in South Korea-based Electronic Times that used an unidentified source.
The choice would make Apple less dependent on Samsung, the only source of monitors for iPhone X (like Apple) and its main rank in the smartphone market.
Neither Apple nor LG Display responded immediately to requests for comment.
