Apple is now sending email to Apple Music subscribers with promotional codes to purchase a brand new HomePod at a significant discount. So far, British customers have received codes worth £ 50, which gives the price of a HomePod down to £ 269 directly from Apple.
A £ 50 rebate hits average eBay prices. Some third-party outlets selling HomePod as little as $ 250, and we see it even less on 9to5Toys, so the agreement is not outstanding, but represents a significant discount from Apple itself. It is not yet clear whether Apple will also send these emails to other regions such as the United States.

Obviously, Apple only offers this promotional code to people who have tried Apple Music at some point. But if you find a promotional code from a friend, the codes will appear on the Apple Store box without discretion.
So far we have only found codes that apply to the UK, but the company will probably be sending out several e-mails during the next few hours.
The encoders effective 16 December, so you've only got a few days to take advantage of the deal. Hopefully, Apple will also offer these codes to the United States and customers in other countries.
Long story short, if you receive an email from Apple asking for your promotional code, it's a rare case of a legal deal, and not some kind of phishing attack.
