After the iPad Air was updated last fall, people have been waiting for the iPad Pro to receive a similar renewal, which according to new leaks could happen – along with the release of Apple’s AirTags – sometime soon in mid-March.
In recent years, Apple has had an overview of hosting a kind of product launch event in early spring, and based on recent tweets noticed by Korea’s daily economic news, Apple’s next gadget showcase is expected to take place on March 16.
Follow-up of previous predictions, @LeaksApplePro claims Apple’s long-awaited AirTags has been “pretty much done” since last fall, and will finally be officially announced in March, which falls in line with rumors of other leaks such as Jon Prosser.
However, the show’s big stars will be several new iPads, with @FrontTron claims Apple will announce a new iPad and iPad Mini, with many other sources claiming one rested iPad Pro is coming too. Macotaka says the new iPad Pro will have upgraded speakers, faster processors and possibly even a mini-LED screen on the larger 12.9-inch model with richer colors and better contrast. Rumors also suggest that Apple may introduce the first 5G-compatible iPad during this event.
Meanwhile, for Apple’s smallest iPad, it looks like the iPad Mini can finally get a modernized design with smaller frames and a larger screen, but without increasing the existing dimensions of the current model.
Unfortunately, Apple usually announces its events two to three weeks in advance, so we may have to wait until the end of the month or the beginning of March to get official confirmation.
