Respawn devs have revealed in a new stream that Apex Legends season 9 will contain “lots” of content from its spiritual predecessor, Titanfall.
The wild sci-fi shooting series Titanfall is remembered with pleasure by FPS fans, and if you have played it, the similarities are easy to spot jumping into a round of Apex Legends.
Both Battle Royale and FPS are made by Respawn and are located in the same universe. But according to the developers, Apex is about to get much more content than ever from Titanfall coming up in season 9.
During a panel with a series of Respawn devs hosted by BrownGirlGamerCode, Apex senior author Ashley Reed talked more about the relationship between the two games, and how they should incorporate Titanfall into Apex in the future.
“What happens in Titanfall is a war, Apex is what happens after the war, like what is life like in this place?”
We have already seen some parallels between the two games, for example, several weapons from Titanfall are mentioned in Apex, and who can forget the great Leviathans (AKA Moyais) that tower over Battle Royale?
The Titanfall content already has seems to be the tip of the iceberg, as Apex Legends Game Director Chad Grenier promised “lots” coming in season 9.
“Next season, season 9, you’re actually going to see a ton of Titanfalls come back into play, somehow,” Grenier suggested.
“I’ve told some people before, if you’m a Titanfall fan, then wait for season 9, because there’s going to be some really cool stuff there.”
Obviously, Grenier did not go into the details of what will come our way next season. So blocking leaks or new information in the meantime, we’ll just have to wait and see what Titanfall fans must be so excited about when Respawn announces it.
Based on the reported Blisk leaks, it may be larger than some expected.
