Animal Crossing Valentine’s Day sees villagers showering you with gifts

Valentine’s Day is here in Animal Crossing: New Horizons.

It’s the season to make love in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. Fresh out of the party until the moon New Year and just before the famous Festival, Animal Crossing: New Horizons celebrates Valentine̵

7;s Day. Although the game does not make a huge song and dance about the event (Isabelle did not even tell me it was Valentine’s Day morning briefing), there are a few things players should make sure they do today.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons Valentine’s Day Items

For players who want to collect as many different items and furniture as possible, Valentine’s Day offers a few exclusive things to buy for their collections. Players can grab both the Chocolate Hearts and Heart-Shaped Bouquet items of the season in the game. They have been available since the beginning of this month and are leaving the store today, so if you have not picked them up yet, the time is up.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons Valentine’s Day Gifts

One of the biggest surprises of the day for me was how full my mailbox was. When I uploaded the game Sunday morning, I was expecting the usual note from Happy Home Academy and maybe the odd letter or two. I did not expect to be inundated with gifts from all my favorite city dwellers.

In total, I received seven letters from villagers and one from Isabelle, each with a nice note and a gift attached. This seems to be the villagers I have spent the most time building up the friendship levels with. Unfortunately, there was nothing special in the items, just a bunch of chocolate hearts and heart-shaped bouquets, but it is the thought that counts correctly!

What’s next in New Horizons?

Tomorrow the Festival starts! Pavé, the party-loving peacock, arrives at the players’ island with the sole purpose of spreading joy. Players can purchase a selection of reactions and Festivale items from Nook’s shop and collect feathers in exchange for dance steps with Pavé. After that, a bunch of super Mario theme elements will hit Animal Crossing: New Horizons in March.
