Android gets audiobooks that are automatically told and extended Voice Access

Google is launching a new suite of Android features, and one of the most notable may be one you can only hear. The company is partnering with US and UK publishers to introduce auto-told audiobooks in the Play Store – you do not have to hope for a professional recording of a classic title to listen to your next tour. Publishers have only limited access to an automated storytelling tool for beta right now, but it should be available to all publishers in early 2021.

A few updates will also make it easier to navigate on the road. Android Auto is now ready to roll out to more countries in the “next few months”

;, either built for Android 10 and newer or through an app on Android 9 and earlier. And if you use Google Maps before the drive, there’s an upcoming Go tab (shown below, also on the way to iOS) to help you navigate to frequently visited places. You can even connect public transport routes to see departure and arrival times in an instant. Your device will receive the tab in the coming weeks.
