A significant PS5 console upgrade went live on Amazon US earlier today.
This surprised customers, without prior notice from Amazon.
This was the first major drop in Amazon shares since the November 12 release date.
It is estimated that the console was intercepted by thousands of customers. It has been shown that most orders will be delivered between 30 December 2020 and 5 January 2021.
Unfortunately, most buyers arrived late. Although the website still stated that the PS5 was in stock, they received an error message when they tried to add it to the cart.
This appears when the product is already sold out in stock, but the front of the site has not been updated.
How long did Amazon’s US inventory last?
The PS5 Disc Edition was in stock just after 11:00 AM EST and lasted only 9 minutes before they were all gone. It returned to stock just before 4pm EST, and hung for just a minute.
Meanwhile, the PS5 Digital Edition was in stock just before 12 EST and lasted only 2 minutes.
Either version of the PS5 was only available for a maximum of 12 minutes. This comes as no surprise how fast the PS5 has sold out at other retailers.
When will the PS5 return to stock in Amazon US?
There has been no official announcement from Amazon regarding PS5 re-shares.
However, a reliable insider has indicated that there will be more shares during January 2021. Along with a significant increase in supply from Sony early in the year.
Our sources correctly predicted a major PS5 recovery on Target and continuously monitors the situation of other dealers.
