In the near future, Amazon will offer its customers Apple's latest devices, including the new 2018 iPad Pro, iPhone XR, iPhone XS and XS Max, Apple Watch Series 4 Models, Macintosh 2018 , and a selection of Beats headphones. The products will be available through Apple authorized dealers on Amazon Marketplace.
Certain Apple products will not be included on Amazon's website, such as HomePod, which competes directly with Amazon's line of Echo devices.
In a statement given to CNET Amazon said that it has added Apple products because it always aims to improve customer experience.
"Amazon is constantly working to improve customer experience, and one of the ways we do this is by increasing the range of products we know the customers want," said a spokesman from Amazon on Friday morning. "We look forward to expanding our range of Apple and Beats products globally."
Today, many Apple products are not available on Amazon's website or sold through unreliable third-party marketers at non-standard prices. With the new agreement, Apple devices will be available at regular selling prices.
Independent sellers offering new and used Apple products on Amazon will have their listings removed after January 4, 201
As CNET points out, while this agreement will allow customers to access a wider range of Apple products at standard prices, it could potentially affect the used Apple device market on the platform.
