After a rocky launch weekend too Outriders‘servers, developer People Can Fly will give players a “package of community gratitude” for their patience. The studio unveiled the bonus for players as part of a post to the game’s subreddit on Thursday. Everyone who has played Outriders between March 31 and April 11 receives a gift in the game.
While People Can Fly did not provide an exact date for the rewards package, it did reveal what it plans to deliver. Qualified players will receive a legendary weapon, some of the playoffs Titanium currency, and the “Frustration”
The reward will only go to each player’s character at the highest level. The level of the character determines the power of the legendary weapon and the amount of titanium they receive.
While People Can Fly is still working on the finer details of gratitude, the studio thanked the fans for sticking with Outriders through the server issues. The studio also gave a death sentence about the connectivity issues on Reddit, where fans can read what went wrong. The studio said it worked through the Easter weekend to solve the problems, which had to do more with an externally protected database than just server requirements.
People Can Fly will likely notify players via Twitter when the package becomes available, although it sounds like it will automatically use the gift on players’ accounts.
