Facebook recently announced that it will also tell you how much time you spend on your apps and join in a whole new trend in tech these days, but that does not mean you will definitely stop wasting time on Facebook , Instagram, WhatsApp and Messenger. A new leak shows that Instagram can soon get a new navigation feature that makes it even easier to lose in endless streams of images and videos.
Following TechCrunch Instagram looks like replacing scrolling, To navigate between posts right now, with tapping. Instagram confirmed that it tests the function without saying if it will reach your feed in the near future:
We always try ways to improve Instagram experience and bring you closer to people and things you love. The feature is already available in nature for some users, having been viewed by the Twitter user first @SupraBo_ :
While the change seems meaningless it can completely change how some people navigate through posts on Instagram. Scrolling can be tiring, especially for older people. Then tapping the screen to proceed to the next picture would keep people inside Instagram for longer periods of time. And the more you stay in the app, the more likely it will be to see sponsored content between these cranes.
As TechCrunch explains, the function looks like the current history navigation system. It's also a lot like Snapchat, so it's no surprise that Facebook copies it. After all, Facebook did everything he could to steal the Snapchat feature for his own social products.
