There are many of music streaming services to choose from, and these services inspire a growing number of add-ons and accompanying apps designed to help you get even more money for your subscription amount, either by finding new things to listen to or helping you store songs enjoyed.
This means that you are not limited to the features of Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music, Deezer or any streaming platform you are subscribed to, because you can also use tools running on top of these services to add additional features and options beyond what you get by default.
Some of these tools can actually be used with any music streaming service, while others are specifically focused on one platform. Here are some of our current favorites, which we hope you find useful.
The songpocket (for iPhone and iPad) plugs right into the Music app on your phone or tablet, giving you more control over how your music is arranged. In other words, you do not have to settle for the automatic ordering and grouping that Apple imposes on you – you can put your favorite artists at the top, group the albums you want, and so on.
The app works with everything in the standard music app, whether synced from the Apple Music streaming directory or imported from elsewhere. When you first open the app, you see all your music organized by artist name, and from there you can start rearranging the lists and moving albums between the groupings you have created yourself.
