2021 Ford Mustang Mach-E Electric Crossover: 1st impression, POV Drive

While YouTube is full of all kinds of ridiculous content, videos with POV driving and vehicle reviews can be very helpful, especially if they are well done. This has become increasingly true in the midst of a global pandemic, and at a time when new electric cars are coming on the market, but not yet necessarily available for test drives. That said, this Ford Mustang Mach-E POV test drive and review is a solid resource.

Mach-e is a brand new electric crossover with Mustang DNA. Ford developed it to compete with the electric crossover Tesla Model Y, as well as the popular Tesla Model 3. As expected, the Mustang Mach-E places great emphasis on performance, which is undoubtedly an advantage Tesla has over most other EVs available today, except for perhaps very expensive electric cars like the Porsche Taycan.

The review focuses on Mach-E Premium AWD. The price tested comes in at $ 56,440, including destination. YouTube channel TheTopher provided the following information about the Mach-E test car:

  • MPGe: 96 by / 84 motorway
  • 346 hp, eAWD extended range with extended torque of 348 lb-ft with 270 miles range (88 kWh extended range)
  • 0-60 in 4.8 seconds
  • Guide Price: $ 49,700
  • 1
9 “alloy wheels with lacquered pockets
  • 88 kWh extended battery
  • 225 / 55R19 A / S BSW Tires
  • Internal protection package

The video begins with the regular tour, which contains details about the specifications and features. However, it is filmed from a POV perspective, so it is as if you are actually walking around the car and checking it yourself. TheTopher pays special attention to Mach-Es’ touch screen and internal controls and functions.

After a detailed look at Mach-E, TheTopher puts you in the driver’s seat for a POV drive of the all-electric pony. Overall, he is very impressed with Mach-E. He says Ford did a solid job of developing the electric Mustang, and it drives like a car from $ 50,000 to $ 60,000, which makes sense since he drives a $ 56,000 electric car.
