Teaser for the 2020 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 due in 2019
After the 2020 debut of the Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 at the 2019 North American International Auto Show in Detroit , Ford will use the powerful pony car to give back for charity.
Ford announced Friday that the first Shelby GT500 production will be auctioned for charity at the Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale (Arizona) auction in January. In particular, all revenues will go to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation to help fund further research to cure the disease.
Both Edsel Ford II and Aaron Shelby will be present to help promote the auction and hopefully bring in well over six characters to take advantage of the good reason. Ford has been working on JDRF for decades and has donated $ 60 million over the past 35 years.

Thanks to the internet, we already have a good idea of what can be expected from the 2020 Mustang Shelby GT500. A previous leak showed off by the pony car's exterior, while Ford himself plagued the GT500 engine last month. Expect a 5.2 liter supercharged V-8 engine that produces more than 700 horsepower. While speculative, the transmission can be the 7-speed dual-clutch automatically paired with the twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter V-6 in the Ford GT. Also expect a set of 20-inch wheels with 315 millimeter tires on the back. A more aggressive Brembo brake package is supposedly also part of the package.
2020 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 Plagued In 2019 Detroit Auto Show Debut
2020 Mustang Shelby GT500 will debut January 14 in Detroit before the sale of car launches in autumn 2019 as a 2020 model. It is unclear how many model years are on tap for the car. The GT500 will probably be the last shebang for this generation's Mustang as a new model is expected in 2022. Judging by what we know so far, it will be a truly abandoned gift for the sixth generation Mustang.
