The 14-day past-dinner holiday theme ended earlier than many players expected, as Epic Games admit that it shared the wrong end date on its social channels. As an excuse, the studio said it would offer a free item to all players participating in the event, but now it has decided to go one step further and bring the whole event back for a limited time.
"We communicated an incorrect end date for the 14 Days of Fortnite event and did not feel the Equalizer Glider compensation was the right approach," Epic wrote on his website. "After further discussion, we have decided to return this event early next week through January 15 at 03:00 am (0800 UTC). We will also enable some of the most popular limited time modes available during the event."

Earlier this week, Epic said it would give all players who completed at least one of 14 Days of Fortnite challenges Equalizer slides, which was the 14th reward you can unlock as part of the event. Many players, however, stated that they would rather prolong the event so that they could unlock all the rewards they might have missed, and welcomed this decision news. You can see all the challenges and benefits of the event in our 14-day fortnight roundup.
In other Fortnite news, Epic has recently rolled out the fifth weekly set of challenges in season 7, which task players who dance on towers and seek between a giant rocker, a crowned tomato and among other things a bordered tree. The developer has also introduced a new element to the game: Boom Box, which can destroy structures.
